Creating a custom memory bear is a heartfelt way to preserve your cherished memories. Our 18″ memory bears are lovingly crafted from your loved ones’ clothing—whether it’s adult shirts (using 4-5 shirts) or baby clothes (8-10 items). Here’s how to get started:
1. Fill Out the Order Form
Start by completing the Order Form on our website. This form will collect important details, including:
- Contact Information
- If you have special customization requests (such as embroidery, names, or specific fabric placements) please note on order form
- Include $20 Deposit with form
2. Gather Your Clothing
For your 18″ memory bear, we recommend the following:
- Adult Shirts: 4-5 shirts are typically needed to create the bear. These can be t-shirts, button-down shirts, or any other clothing with sentimental value.
- Baby Clothing: 8-10 baby clothing items (like onesies, little shirts, or dresses) will be used to create your bear. Baby clothes work wonderfully for showcasing smaller, meaningful details.
Select clothing that holds sentimental value to you or represents important memories. Be sure to choose clean, good-quality items that are in excellent condition, as we’ll be using them to craft your bear. You can see a full list here.
3. Ship Your Clothing to Us
Once you’ve gathered your clothing, package it securely and ship it to us. We’ll provide you with detailed shipping instructions to ensure everything arrives safely. If you need help with packaging or shipping, don’t hesitate to reach out!
4. Bear Creation & Planning
Once we receive your clothing, our team will begin planning the construction of your memory bear. Each bear is made with care and precision, using the clothing you’ve provided to ensure it is a meaningful and personalized keepsake.
During this phase, we may contact you for input if needed, especially if there are any unique placement requests or customization details (like embroidery or specific fabric sections). We’ll make sure to bring your vision to life.
5. Creating Your Memory Bear
After confirming all the details, we’ll begin crafting your memory bear. The clothing will be transformed into a soft, 18″ bear, stitched with love and attention to detail. We focus on ensuring that the final product represents the essence of the clothing you’ve sent.
6. Regular Updates
Throughout the process, we’ll keep you updated on our progress. If you’d like, we can send you photos of your bear as it’s being made, so you can see how your memories are coming to life!
7. Final Review & Adjustments
Before completing your memory bear, we’ll give you a chance to review the final design. This is the time final payment will be due.
8. Shipping Your Finished Memory Bear
Once your bear is complete, we’ll carefully package and ship it to you. You’ll receive tracking information, so you can follow its journey to your home.

By sending your clothing item(s) to Old Clinch Crafters, you authorize us to use the items in the creation of your keepsake. This may involve alterations such as cutting, sewing, and other modifications necessary to complete the final product.
You understand and agree that the clothing item(s) provided will be permanently altered and cannot be returned in their original form. Once the clothing is used in the creation of the keepsake, it will no longer be in its original condition.
Additionally, you release Old Clinch Crafters, along with its employees, agents, and contractors, from any and all liability for any loss, damage, or destruction of the clothing item(s) during the creation of the keepsake. This includes any inadvertent damage or alteration beyond the intended transformation into the keepsake.
You also acknowledge that the final product may not meet your exact expectations, as each keepsake is unique and created with the materials provided. By sending your clothing item(s) to us, you release Old Clinch Crafters from any claims or dissatisfaction regarding the finished product. This is why communication is key.
